Sanger Unified School District is made up of twenty-one schools.  There are fourteen elementary sites, a middle school and one comprehensive high school.  There are two K-8 and one K-12 charter sites.  In addition there is an alternative education continuation school, an alternative education independent study school, a community day school, and an adult school. The district covers 180 square miles and serves a population of 31,000.

Within the boundaries of Sanger Unified is the city of Sanger and the communities of Centerville, Del Rey, Fairmont, Lone Star, Tivy Valley and portions of the Sunnyside area of metropolitan Fresno. Attendance in the District’s schools currently numbers 11,360 students.

Sanger Unified is celebrating success after Jefferson Elementary was the only school in California to receive three honors under the Gold Ribbons Awards Program.

The Gold Ribbons Awards Program recognizes schools in California that achieved success in student learning when it comes to arts, physical education, or nutrition. Jefferson Elementary in Sanger Unified was the only school in the state to apply for honors in all three and win.

The Sanger Unified School District is again proving it's an education leader in the Valley in a new statewide list that measures graduation rates and performance of low-income and minority students.

Understanding your child's CAASPP score report and Parent Guide to Smarter Balanced Summative.

The CDE has released three Parent Guides to the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments...The guides provide sample test items in ELA/literacy and mathematics and explain how student achievement is reported to parents.  These guides are grade-span specific, focusing on the concepts and skills to be mastered by students in Grades 3-5, 6-8 and 11.  Below is a link to the three grade-span guides.

CA Department of Education Student Records Lawsuit
The California Department of Education (“CDE”) is currently engaged in a legal case with two non-profit associations (plaintiffs). As part of this case against the state, the plaintiffs are requesting access to records for any student who has attended a California school at any time since January 1, 2008.  Below is the SUSD response to this case.
